Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Pemberton Weddings so special?

Pemberton Weddings is hosted at Dreamcatcher Meadows, our world-renowned horse breeding and training estate nestled in the stunning Pemberton Valley. Here, the beauty of British Columbia surrounds you — from majestic mountains and ancient cedar groves to a tranquil riverside beach. The farm itself is home to champion horses and 40+ acres of meadows, gardens, and historic barns, all of which create an unforgettable backdrop for your celebration.

Whether you envision an intimate beachside elopement, a chic celebration in the Events Chalet, or a grand reception in the Entertainment Barn for over 150 guests, we offer diverse settings, modern amenities, and full support for setup and teardown. Your wedding here is more than a day — it’s an immersive experience in nature’s beauty, set on one of Canada’s most unique and celebrated farms.

And soon, you’ll be able to enjoy full in-house planning services — so all you have to do is show up and celebrate.

Can we host both our ceremony and reception here?

Yes! Choose from multiple scenic ceremony and reception locations tailored to your style. Popular choices include:

  • Sun God Beach – framed by the McLeod Creek waterfall and mountain views

  • Lillooet River bend – dramatic and expansive

  • Circle of Ancient Cedars, meadows, and other hidden spots across our 95+ acres

Historic charm meets modern infrastructure, giving you the flexibility to create your perfect day in one unforgettable location.

What’s your maximum guest capacity?

We can accommodate anything from an intimate elopement to large gatherings of up to 200 guests. Contact us to discuss the best setup for your needs.

Do you have indoor options if it rains?

Yes. The Events Chalet and the Entertainment Barn both provide beautiful covered spaces. The barn’s open sides, draped in flowering hop vines, let you enjoy mountain and river views even during a summer shower. Thanks to our micro-climate, in 20+ years we’ve never had a rain-out.

Can we tour the venue before booking?

Absolutely. We start with a phone conversation to discuss your ideas and ensure we’re a good fit, then arrange an in-person tour so you can see the spaces for yourself.

What’s included in your packages?

Visit our packages page for the full breakdown. Once booked, you’ll also receive:

  • A 22-page Service Providers Guide

  • A shared planning timeline to keep everything organized

Do you have on-site preparation areas?

Yes. The Events Chalet offers a private, luxurious prep space right on the Lillooet River, complete with wraparound decks, a secret garden, and sweeping views.

Can we customize layouts and décor? Can we host multiple events?

Yes and yes. Many couples turn their wedding into a multi-day retreat, adding rehearsal dinners, cultural traditions, and group activities like horseback riding, kayaking, or hiking. We can adapt spaces to your vision, even flooring over the Olympic-size arena for large receptions. Additional charges may apply for certain equipment or services. Coming soon — our in-house planning service will make bringing your ideas to life even easier, from layout design to day-of coordination

Can we bring our own vendors?

You’re welcome to choose your own, or use our curated Service Providers Guide featuring trusted local professionals for photography, florals, catering, and more. Some couples have planned their wedding in as little as three weeks using this resource. We’re also introducing an in-house planning service to help you coordinate with your chosen vendors or connect you with our trusted partners, ensuring every detail is seamless.

Are there noise or timing restrictions?

Music volume must be lowered by 11:00 p.m., with a hard close by 1:00 a.m.

Is parking available?

Yes. We have a dedicated event entrance, ample signed parking, and two camping/glamping fields conveniently located near the Entertainment Barn and Silo Bar.

Can we include horses in our wedding?

Yes. With advance notice, we can arrange staged photos with our award-winning horses and foals. You may also spot our foals in the paddock opposite the entertainment facilities — they’re impossible to resist.

What’s the best time of year to get married here?

For outdoor and larger weddings, we recommend May–September. Smaller weddings and elopements can be hosted year-round, including cosy winter celebrations in the Events Chalet.

What accommodation options are nearby?

Guests can camp or glamp on-site, or choose from beautiful local Airbnbs. Whistler, with its hotels and resorts, is under an hour away.
